The Partnership Advocacy Center of Pike County offers a safe 24/7 emergency shelter services for survivors fleeing abusive relationships. The shelter is in an undisclosed location, it is secure, safe, and staff ensure safety 24 hours a day. The shelter is independent living and with suites much like a hotel room, equipped with a bathroom, television, and closet. Our services are available to men, women, children, the LGBTQAI community, people living with disabilities and the elderly who are experiencing intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and/or human trafficking.
Our shelter staff assist with access to community resources and referrals, housing relocation and placement through various housing programs, individual supportive counseling, hygiene and clothing, safety planning, court advocacy, and much more.
It is our goal to serve survivors, through a trauma-informed approach, empowering survivors to take back their lives and live free from violence. Our highly skilled staff are trained in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, human trafficking, sexual assault, intimate partner violence and understanding the cycle of abuse. Our shelter case manager meets every survivor weekly to provide emotional support, safety planning, weekly goal planning, connection to public benefits, external agency referrals, connection to therapy and psychiatry services, employment and job readiness support and build independent living skills.
